Chief Olu Falae Talk About His Days in Captivity

Olu Falae
Chief Olu Falae, a former secretary general to the federal government, who was released yesterday after having been kept four days in captivity, has narrated his ordeal.

It should be recalled that the official was abducted by the unknown on Monday, September 21. President Muhammadu Buhari personally intervened having ordered the police and all other relevant agencies to ensure Falae’s quick and safe return home.
On Thursday, shortly after the release, the kidnap victim narrated how he had slept on bare floor in the kidnappers’ den.
Falae, who spoke at his home in Ilado village of Ondo state with Governor Olusegun Mimiko, described his experience as “hell”.

He said:
“When I told the kidnappers that my family could raise N2m for ransom against the N100m they demanded, they rejected it and told me, ‘Is it Boko Haram you are giving N2m to?’”
After having been set free Falae had to trek several kilometers to a hotel in Owo town where the security took him home.
Regarding the conditions of release, IGP Solomon Arase said no ransom had been paid, Leadership adds.
